Three years and a pandemic later, the big match is back.

Twelve against twelve. The best of professional golf from two entire continents confronting each other in three days of intense competition. A format as spectacular as it is unique, enhanced by the match play. Perhaps not even its farsighted inventor Samuel Ryder, an eccentric British businessman with a passion for golf, would have expected so much from his creation in 1927. The Ryder Cup has now become the most followed sporting event in the world after the World Cup and the Olympics. The Ryder Cup is a magnetic event, able to bring out the magic of the game of golf like no other. To involve and excite, to make you cry (with joy or despair), to unite two teams and millions of fans under two flags. This show will await us in two years, in Rome, when the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club will be the venue for this exciting match.

We will play a significant role in Rome, having signed in 2016 a long-term agreement with the Ryder Cup Europe LLP, for a cycle of events spanning from the Paris event at “Le Golf National” in 2018 to the Bethpage Black US edition in 2025. Chervò was granted the right, as "Official License", to use the Ryder Cup Shield and the name of each event in relation to the marketing and sale of a selection of its products, clothing, and accessories. Our products bearing the Ryder Cup shield are available at the flagship store, the official webstore, all of our monobrand stores, and select pro-shop and other stores worldwide, with the exception of the USA. The first Ryder Cup in Italy was an opportunity that we could pass. A collaboration that makes Chervò proud of rich Italian history spanning 40 years in 2022. Three years and a pandemic later, the big match is back. This time on American soil, at Whistling Straits Golf Club, in Wisconsin, the hometown of the American captain Steve Stricker, chosen to lead the Yankees keen on revenge.

From 1927 to 1979, the year in which the rest of continental Europe was incorporated into the event, together with Great Britain and Ireland, the big match of two worlds saw team USA dominance (18-3) and only one tie (1969 at Royal Birkdale). From the era of the great Seve Ballesteros until today, the situation turns upside down with 12 victories for the Old Continent against 8 for USA and a tie. The key to success that will bring the winning team to raise the trophy at the end is only one, called team spirit. The ability to form a real group, to transform opponents into inseparable and loyal teammates, ready to help and support each other for a single target. The glory of holding a prestigious trophy. No money up for grabs, only honor and the desire to prevail over historical rivals from overseas. Two worlds and two cultures worlds apart split by a sporting rivalry that only the Ryder Cup has been able to bring out the best. Of that colorful sea of 50 thousand spectators and fans who follow their favorite players and help transport them to a place where they are able to find pure joy and pride for country.
